…promises returns on investment on subsidiaries

Group Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Nigerian Aviation Handling Company (NAHCOaviance) plc, has said that all issues concerning condition of service of workers have been settled.
This is just as she said that the new management of the company is putting everything right to ensure that there is return on investment in the subsidiaries of the company. It has diversified into: Power, Logistics apart from its Free Trade zone.
Fagbemi, at a press briefing on the new vision for the company at its headquarters at the Murtala Muhammed, Lagos, on Friday, said the company and the unions are now on the same path adding that the new management would not sideline anybody in its plans to turn NAHCO around.
She said the management already recognizes that the aviation environment is a unionised one and that the best way to steer clear of issues is to operate an open-door policy.
“We have practically agreed on all issues on the condition of service, there are no issues with union, we are now on the same path, we are working together to move this organization forward, we all agreed on the challenges and we have shown them the pillar of new vision, I am open to everybody, ‘we are selling the new vision, mission and cultural changes to everyone, everybody in the company is involved, we just want to let the public know where we are, we just want to be open about where we are going. We’ve gone to the stock exchange and we will continue to engage them on where we are going’”, she said.
Speaking on the subsidiaries of the company, she said there is a new big plan to ensure that they are up and running as money has been ceded into the Power subsidiary, in the first place.
“We diversified into ‘Power’ in 2015, the company has some capital ceded into it and we want to ensure there is returns. We are still on the drawing board here but the first thing we are looking at is alternative power. In Logistics, we want to provide logistics some companies but not in competition with our clients, we also want to optimize the value of Free Trade Zone”, she added.
