A passenger, identifies as Mr. Micheal Ijadunmi, on Monday, died in a Delta plane conveying passengers from Atlanta to Lagos.
It was learnt that the passenger died three hours before the aircraft landed in Lagos.
It was also gathered that cabin crew members made frantic efforts to help his condition after the passenger sitting close to him, called their attention to him, but to no avail.
A statement from the airline’s office in Lagos confirmed the incident, saying the man was found unresponsive before landing.
“A passenger on Delta Flight DL54 travelling from Atlanta to Lagos today (11 March), was found unresponsive before landing. Local medical professionals met the plane upon arrival and confirmed the passenger had sadly passed away. Delta extends its deepest condolences to the family at this sad time. As a matter of passenger privacy, Delta will not release additional information”.
