253 Nigerians repatriated from UK by British Airways

The first batch of Nigerians, 253 of them, were on Friday, evacuated from United Kingdom by British Airways.

 

No fewer than 700 Nigerians have indicated interest to return from the United Kingdom due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

 

About 215 British Nationals are also expected to leave Nigeria for the UK with the same flight.

 

Two days ago, 256 Nigerians were evacuated from the United Arabs Emirates into Nigeria as plans by the Federal government to bring to the country every of its citizens that is willing to come back from around the globe.

The evacuees from UK, arrived the Murtala Muhammed International airport in Lagos on Friday afternoon.

 

The British Airways’ B747 plane flight BA9155,  landed at the Murtala Muhammed International at exactly 1.44 pm.

 

It was gathered that the passengers would be conveyed to Abuja with an Air Peace Aircraft for accommodation and isolation for the mandatory 14 days.
