Air Peace to evacuate stranded Indians from Nigeria May 30

The High Commission of India in Nigeria has contacted Nigeria’s carrier, Air Peace to evacuate stranded Indians from Nigeria to India.

 

This information is contained on the official twitter handle channel for Air Peace airline @flyairpeace.

 

The information was also tweeted by India in Nigeria (As well as Benin, Chad & ECOWAS) @india_nigeria, official twitter account of the High Commission of India in Abuja, Nigeria, accredited also to Benin, Chad and ECOWAS.

 

According to the tweet by High Commission, “Glad to join hands with @NigeriaGov and @flyairpeace for special LAGOS-KOCHI-DELHI BENGALURU-ABUJA flight on 30-31 May 2020. It will carry only approved destination specific Indian nationals only to Kochi and bring only approved Nigerian nationals from Delhi/Bengaluru”.

 

It is also likely that the airline airlifts stranded Nigerians from India but the airline is silent on that.

 

According to Air Peace statement on its twitter account, the management said the list of passengers to be attended to has already been given to the airline adding that it has commenced reaching out to them on Saturday morning.

 

It added that the flight will depart Lagos on May 30, 2020 to Cochin Airport in Kerala.

 

“The management of Air Peace wishes to announce that the airline has been contacted by the India High Commission in Nigeria to undertake the evacuation on stranded India nationals to Kerala, India.

 

“A list of passengers to be attended to has already been given to us and we have commenced reaching out to them this morning (Saturday). The flight shall depart Lagos on May 30, 2020 to Cochin Airport, Kerala.

 

“Payments are expected immediately, Economy is $1300; Business Class is $1700. You are equally allowed to pay in Naira at N460/$”, the airline said.
