The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has emphasized the need for a safe and healthy airport environment as it celebrates the 2018 World Environment Day today.

The Authority, in collaboration with Nigeria Environmental Society, organised a lecture on the theme of this year’s celebration – “Beat Plastic Pollution” which was held in Lagos to mark the day.

The Managing Director/Chief Executive of FAAN, Engr. Saleh Dunoma, who was ably represented by the Director of Engineering Services, Engr. He joined the global environment body to point our attention to the challenges of plastic pollution coming from all facets of human activities.

The FAAN’s boss pledged that the Authority would do everything possible to ensure that all plastic materials and other wastes generated around the nation’s airports are properly disposed to prevent the hazards associated with them.
