The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has assured members of the public, especially passengers and airline operators, that necessary operational and security measures have been put in place at all our airports to ensure hitch-free passage of passengers and cargo during the forthcoming Easter holidays.
Yakubu Dati, FAAN spokesman said passenger facilitation at all the airports has also been enhanced by the installation of more modern and bigger conveyor belts and metal walk-through detectors, adding that the expansion and modernisation of all the airport terminals in the country now provide better ambience for passenger facilitation and commercial offerings.
“Passengers are hereby advised to take advantage of online portals to book their flights ahead of time and avoid carrying unauthorised items. The Close Circuit Television Cameras (CCTV) mounted around the airport vicinity is to aid the joint security efforts.
“Furthermore, travellers are encouraged to leave home early on their travel dates, in order to complete their boarding processes in good time.
We wish all passengers safe and enjoyable Easter celebrations”, he said.
