In a bid to address recent challenges in airport operations and facilitation management systems at the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos and Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja respectively, the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) said it has taken delivery of and commence the installation Check-in, screening facilities at both airports.
The Authority in a statement signed by its spokesperson, Mrs. Henrietta Yakubu, appealed to airlines, passengers and other stakeholders that to bear with it as it installs the equipment.
It added additional 15 security screening machines have been procured for immediate deployment to the General Aviation Terminal and Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos. They are also been installed already.
“The Authority is using this opportunity to appeal to all stakeholders to please bear with us while the installation would last, as all hands are on deck to ensure speedy completion of the project”, she said.
