FAAN dismisses power outage rumour at Lagos airport

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has dispelled a trending video clip showing that there was no electricity at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, on Tuesday, saying ‘it is malicious and aimed at creating panic and to tarnish the reputation of our airports by mischief makers’.

The Authority in a statement signed by Mrs. Henrietta Yakubu, FAAN spokesperson, said there was seamless operations at airport on the said day.

“FAAN would like to use this medium to inform they general public that they should always refer to the Authority’s website  (www.faan.gov.ng) or social media platforms, Facebook Page (FAAN OFFICIAL) or Twitter Handle (@FAAN_OFFICIAL) where authentic news and updates are readily accessible.

“FAAN is committed to her core values… Safety, Service, Comfort!”.
