NiMet, Anambra Govt. ink deal on meteorological services

The Nigeria Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Anambra state as part of efforts to provide standard aero-meteorological services for safe flight operations at the Anambra state international airport, Umueri.

This is just as the State Government  applauded the excellent services of NiMet in Nigeria, especially in recent time.

The Honorable commissioner for Works, Engineer. Marcel Ifejiofor who represented the state governor, Chief Willie Obiano described NiMet services as indisputably world class and therefore commend the agency for its giant strides especially in the aviation sector.

In his welcome address, Engineer Mailadi Yusuf who represented the Director-General/CEO NiMet, congratulated the governor and people of Anambra state for a promise delivered as well as good governance to his people.

He further informed the delegation that NiMet does not only offer services to Aviation sector but also Agriculture, water resources, Health among other sectors of the nation’s economy.
