Saleh Dunoma, Managing director of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), has said that the Port Harcourt International Airport would soon be ready for use.
Speaking to aviation correspondents in his office on the pace of work at airports, Dunoma said work was on-going at various airports across the country, adding however, that the Port Harcourt could be ready before any other.
“Work on the terminals have gone far, especially Port Harcourt, followed by Kano, Abuja and Lagos”, he said.
Dunoma advised passengers to bear with the Authority due to the inconvenience and discomfort being experienced over construction work on the site of the new terminals.
The FAAN boss said the management was making efforts to ensure that airports were secured and safe for passengers in all ramifications.
Both Transport Minister, Rotimi Amaechi and Minister of state, Aviation, Hadi Sirika , has also assured that the airports’ terminals would be ready by the end the of 2016.
