Arik Air said it has cancelled all its flight operations for Wednesday, October 21, 2020 due to the 24 hours curfew announced by the Lagos State government on Tuesday, October 20, 2020.

A statement signed by the airline’s spokesman,  Adebanji Ola, stated that all booked passengers on the cancelled flights are advised to reschedule their flights for later dates at no extra cost.

This cancellation is sequelled  to the Lagos State government announcement of a 24 hours curfew effective 4:00pm October 20, 2020.

The Lagos State government imposed the curfew after the #EndSARS protesters allegedly vandalized public properties and set ablaze some police stations, killing some people too.

Also, the country’s leading carrier, Air Peace Limited said it has cancelled its flight operations in Benin and Lagos, the two cities that have declared the restrictions of movement in their state following the wanton destruction of properties by hoodlums who hijacked the EndSARS protests to unleash mayhem.

Likewise Azman Air Limited, a staff of the airline in Lagos told our correspondent that the airline’s Lagos-Abuja and Abuja-Kano are all now put on hold till further notice.
